About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic Market Manager with an established record of sales performance with premium spirits brands. You will deliver the company's sales execution standards, brand building initiatives, and business goals with a select group of accounts and our distributors across the state of Ohio.
The Market Manager role is responsible for the planning, communication, and execution of our Off-Premise and On-Premise objectives with our distributor partners, and the trade in the assigned territory. You will ensure we are achieving share of mind in key accounts while driving growth and brand awareness through regular interaction, account calls, training and education. As a Market Manager for The Calabasas Beverage Company, you will be a local point of contact for distributor Sales Consultants and Area Managers.
This is a field sales role. This position will report directly to the Regional Sales Director, Midwest.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing 818 and Sprinter distribution and maximizing brand visibility in designated accounts. The primary objective is to drive increased sales velocity within a targeted set of key accounts, as identified by your Region Sales Director
- Build and maintain strong relationships with account owners, managers, and buyers to create brand opportunities. Ensure distributor partners and account stakeholders are well-informed on sustainability efforts and key brand attributes across both 818 and Sprinter
- Conduct regular distributor market work-withs and establish yourself as the point of contact
- Provide best in class account management to account partners
- Participate in market surveys, sales blitzes, and trade events
- Participate in regular distributor GSMs, as well as weekly and monthly meetings with distributor teams
- Be a collaborative member of the team through high engagement and supporting team members by sharing successes and best practices and being proactive
- Partner with marketing team to communicate account needs and suggest tools for development
- Conduct analysis on top performing accounts and develop plans on how to grow share in the market
- Consistently utilize internal tools to grow share of mind in accounts such as digital assets, graphics, POS, and VIP to monitor account performance
- Ensure weekly and monthly recaps of the business are completed in a timely manner
- Ensure T&E and activation budgets are carefully utilized are within budget parameters
Key Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the beverage alcohol industry
- Proven experience in on and off-premise direct sales and distributor management, with a focus on accountability and goal alignment.
- Skilled in maintaining strong distributor relationships to drive performance and achieve sales targets through regular check-ins and collaborative planning
- Possesses deep knowledge of market trends, channel dynamics, and customer nuances, leveraging existing account relationships to identify opportunities, adapt strategies, and drive brand growth within key accounts
- Clear understanding of channel management and pricing
- Demonstrated record of success in delivering sales KPI’s and implementing key initiatives
- Well informed on digital platforms including strong understanding of use of social media in the alcohol space
- Positive track record in managing budgets and maximizing return on investment
- Excellent communication, negotiation and selling skills
- Strong computer skills including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to grow business in key accounts
- Ability to be flexible to support other markets which could require travel
- Must have a valid driver’s license, own a car, and have the ability to drive frequently in territory, including occasional overnight trips
- Ability to transport point of sale and sales support vehicle (larger vehicle, SUV, etc.)
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs

- Full time working hours and often non-traditional working hours including evenings and some weekends
- Travel 15-20%
This is a full-time, exempt position. Starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training and education. The Calabasas Beverage Company provides 401k, full health benefits and flexible PTO.
Pay Band - $75k-$110k, 20% Bonus, and Monthly Car and Tech Allowance
